St. Croix
Tutto Bene, where "everything is good".

Tutto Bene, at its new location just east of Christiansted in the Boardwalk Building at Gallows Bay, is a piece of Italy in the midst of paradise on the island of St. Croix.  This is a new location for this popular and lively restaurant.  The decor consists of high ceilings, and muraled walls, and air conditioning keeps everything comfortable for dining.  There is also a large bar, and a smoking section.

Tutto Bene, which, in Italian, means "everything good", serves reasonably priced traditional southern Italian dishes, and imaginative daily specials, listed on uniquely hand-painted mirrors.  There is an extensive Italian wine list, as well.

The evening we dined there, we started with the Wild Boar appetizer, something quite different to try.  My husband then enjoyed the Pan Seared Salmon dish, and I had the pasta and veal sausage, which was delightful.  Our server was very helpful, and conscious of our needs.  The desserts look yummy, but, to insure that our shorts fit for the remainder of our trip, we passed on these.  Maybe next time.

One word about the restrooms there.  I would not normally mention these in a review, but this time I must.  The Ladies Room was clean and delightful "a ladies" boudoir, complete with dressing table and chair, at which to primp.  Hopefully the Men's Room was as great!

This place is well worth a try when you visit St. Croix.
